|
| Storyline-based
kill tasks, introduced with patch 1.51, are for characters
levels 21 and above. |
| New
tasks for levels 41+ were added with patch 1.53. |
| Barkeeps
in the various towns may direct you to NPCs that give
out kill tasks. |
| Tasks
are obtained in the same manner as quests, by right-clicking
on the task giver. |
| Lower
level players cannot be given a higher level task and
cannot receive a reward for turning in items for higher
level tasks. |
|
Higher
level players (for example, those to whom the MOB
to be killed might con gray) may not be given lower
level tasks. It is also possible that characters that
are several levels above the task level will receive
significantly less experience points than those listed
on the chart.
|
| These
post-20 kill tasks are NOT stored in your Quest Journal,
as they are not quests. |
| All
tasks are only available to player characters of an
appropriate level. |
| Seek
out the MOB described by the task giver and kill it. |
| The
item the task giver wants will not always drop with
every kill of the correct MOB, so patience may be required
as you continue the fight. |
|
Most
of these kill task items are capitalized, so you may
more easily spot them in your inventory and when they
drop.
|
|
Return
the dropped item to the task giver for your reward,
which is usually experience points.
|
|
Some
task givers will allow you to complete the task multiple
times; however, each task has a finite number of times
it may be completed by a player.
|
Task
items do not stack in inventory. This is a way you
can distinguish between task items and alchemy/spellcrafting
items, as those crafting items do stack. Examples
of alchemy/spellcrafting items that have been noted
are Ancient Mirrors, Vials of Giant/Troll Blood,
and Enriched Mercury that all drop off the absymals.
These items normally drop in 5s and stack, but some
come singular but still stack with other identical
items. (This difference noted by Rhuman,
47 Ranger on Bedevere.)
|
Task
items can be sold. This is another difference between
them and alchemy/spellcrafting items, which cannot
be sold. (This difference also noted by Rhuman.)
|
|
Items
can be given to other players to turn in once a player
has surpassed the maximum reward (i.e., number of
turn ins) for that task.
|
|
The
gem given as an additional reward by Angeil in Mount
Collory is subject to autosplit when a player that
turns in the furs is in a group; not everyone in a
group receives it, as they would if the kill task
was an actual quest. Also, as part of this task, there
is a low probability (approximately 1 out of 8 times)
that an "Angry Sett" will pop and start
"munching on you." This MOB cons green at
level 37.

Jarun
of the Phoenix
Guard on MLF has created his own list, which was
helpful in updating a lot of the post patch 1.53 tasks.
(Regrettably the forum seems to no longer be available
to the public.)
